When I first started investing, I was so busy working that I didn’t have time to learn about the world of investing. I made random investment decisions based on my own research, some advice from other advisors, and through GICs on the side.
By 2008, I had invested in some solid companies. Unfortunately, that’s when the market downturn began. My advisor at that time couldn’t tell me with solid conviction to remain invested. So, I panicked and sold my stocks at a big loss.
After my loss in 2008, and with my investments scattered across different areas, I decided that I should bring my investments together in one place. I was looking for one solid trustworthy advisor, and that’s when I met Maymar Naman from RBC Dominion Securities. My spouse, Rishi, and I instantly connected with him. We found him to be inquisitive, sincere, helpful, and energetic.
Over the next few months, we did an investment review with him. Based on this review, Maymar and his extended team of RBC experts gave us their proposed investment solution. Becoming an RBC DS client also meant that we had access to RBC’s top financial specialists to address any other money-related needs. We haven’t looked back since.
